Through responsible, dedicated, and strategic breeding, we maintain the breed standard while striving to improve traits in conformation, temperament, health, personality, and drive. We want others to experience the joy of sharing your life with a BOXER. We take the time to learn and understand the disposition, temperament and personality of each puppy, to help you choose a pup that will be best for you when it becomes an adult. We use several different methods of interaction to help us understand the pup’s behaviors & social interactions. This takes a lot of time but, what could be better than spending all day playing with Boxer Puppies !!! We raise these babies in our home, with their mom and dad. When age and weather is appropriate we take them outside for some good-ole sunshine. We currently only have one litter per year available for pet, breeding, therapy, protection, or show homes. You would imagine, looking at a Boxer, that they are a tough mean breed of dog that would be great for scaring (or even eating) the kids and anyone who happened to come within striking distance. Boxers have a stocky, powerful build with a mouth full of teeth and a strong jaw. When you hear that their origins are from dogs specially bred to be hunt Wild Boar, that would make you even more likely to expect Boxers to be a truly fearsome breed. In truth they are fantastic house dogs as they have a strong protective nature and certainly look like they mean business as they run towards a possible intruder! The reality is they are a playful highly intelligent animal and are lots of fun to be around. And even as they get older boxers still act with a youthful playfulness that is far stronger than any other breed. Boxers just love to play and act the clown if you try to ignore them. They make comical sounds which seems like they are just about talking to you, it's tempting to start a conversation as you could imagine it all making sense! Boxers are one of the most extremely intelligent dogs. Because of this, they are able to learn quickly and complete any training fast. Use a training method that works with the Boxers intelligence rather than expecting blind obedience. Boxers are incredibly loyal companions. They do need activity and you can clearly see their happiness when they go along on a walk with you. Boxers are naturally full of energy, so don't be surprised to see them twist, jump and even kick its hind legs into the air while it is out on a walk. Boxers love to snuggle and stare right straight into your eyes, turn their head sideways and expect you to know what they are thinking. (and after a while you do!) There is a lot of information online about owing a boxer. taking the time to learn about about your new friend will reward you both. For a toddler in Flugerville, the turn of events could have been deadly. He was about to be bitten by a rattlesnake, when a Boxer intervened. “She’s our little hero now, ” said the boy’s father, Darryl MacArthur. The dog’s name is Vandy, and she is a six-year-old Boxer the MacArthur’s are currently fostering through Austin Boxer Rescue. On Monday, 16-month old Dillon was playing in the backyard when he stepped within a foot of the snake. Click here for full story or play the video to the left.
